What creates a safe and healthy urban environment? Aidan DeLuca will be identifying the key architectural factors of urban comfort as he travels between Europe and North America, meanwhile assessing their impacts on the world-heritage-city experience.
Sight and Sounds: Material Culture of Heritage Cities in Europe
Join Laura Jane Hegarty and Benjamin Thom in exploring Central Europe through their respective expertise in visual and acoustic cultural goods. Being a visual artist and a musician, both of them are proficient in noticing details in the art they encounter. They will publish the diary of all their travel thoughts with visual components accompanying their posts.

Because of this passion, they will explore Central Europe by bike and pay close attention to how heritage affects local habits and interactions, capturing them in portraits, and always comparing what they find with what is customary in their hometown of Regensburg.
Voices of Heritage: Personal Stories from Europe’s Historic Cities
Inspired by their passion for cultural diversity and community engagement, Ayomide Obasa & Zsófia Leleszi plan to elevate local voices with their creative project. Through personal narratives, they will explore how World Heritage sites impact local communities while travelling through Central Europe.

Follow Salome Limberger as she goes on a journey through Flemish Belgium and the Netherlands to discover the history, culture and socio-cultural significance of beguinages, residential communities in which unmarried and widowed women lived in the Middle Ages!
